Summary
A woman's cuff from a pair of cuffs, made from black silk taffeta. The cuff is undecorated and is stiffened with a canvas core which is lined with dyed black cotton lawn. The cuff fastens with two hook and eye fastenings, intact. Possibly used to protect a white cuff when working, or for mourning.
