Summary
A woman's hat made from deep brown velvet with a wide brim and deep crown. The brim incorporates three supporting wires, inner, centre and outer and is decorated with a deep band of brown silk satin. The crown is decorated with pleated brown silk satin and gold lamé and has an extensive feather decoration using several different types of plumage, centre front. The hat is fully lined in black silk and incorporates additional padding under the lining, either for fit or comfort and has an elasticated strap. A label inside the crown reads "Milliners. The Mansfield Sisters. 28 Wicklow Street, Dublin".
