Summary
Woman’s bodice. Cream silk satin bodice with three-quarter length embroidered net sleeves and chemisette, lined with cream silk mouseline. The neck and cuffs are further trimmed with embroidered net ruffles and a cream silk satin bow CF trimmed with two silk and metal thread tassels. Cuffs fasten with three tiny pearl buttons with embroidered loops. Bodice and sleeves overlaid with gathered cream silk mouseline trimmed with open weave cotton gauze that is embroidered with cream silk floss and metal threads, edged with cord covered in cream silk satin. The gauze runs down both sides of the bodice, back and front and creates an open over-sleeve down each arm. The over-sleeves are held together with a cream silk satin bow trimmed with one silk and one metal thread tassel. Bodice opens at the CB, fastening with metal hooks and eyes. Cream silk satin forms a cummerbund-style fixed belt all around, fastening CB with hooks and eyes. The back opening is further trimmed with four silk and metal thread tassels. Unlined.
