Summary

A woman's petticoat made from white cotton. The floor-length petticoat has a deep flounce from knee to hem which is decorated with bands of pintucking and broderie anglais and is otherwise undecorated. Internally, the petticoat is unlined and there are neither fastening buttons or a gathering string evident, which might suggest it was pinned into place.
