Summary
Woman’s dress. Cream silk satin short-sleeved dress, overlaid with very fine plain weave cream and blue striped silk. Further overlaid at bodice and open-fronted skirt with cream silk net, embroidered in cream cotton Connelly work and edged with blue silk satin. Net overskirt further trimmed with cream cotton embroidered buttons at CF, CB and at sleeves. Trimmed at waist with an attached blue satin cummerbund. Bodice edged at neck with piped row of blue silk georgette and cream silk georgette. Bodice has five boning strips held in silk casings with cream cotton drawstring tapes at neck. Bodice fastens CB with metal hooks and eyes. Skirt fastens with metal hooks and embroidered eyes.
