Summary
Woman’s stole. Cream spotted cotton net stole with three ruffles around neck. Trimmed with fine black silk crepeline ribbon. The stole has two long ties of the net, which hang down the front; these are trimmed with two ruffles of net and horizontal bands of the black silk ribbon.
Provenance
Probably worn by donor's grandmother, Lady Boyd, wife of Sir Walter Boyd, a High Court judge in Dublin. They attended many state occasions in England and Ireland during the reigns of Victoria, Edward VII and George V.Heather Boyd, Merrion Square, Dublin
