Summary
A woman's bodice, part of a dress, made from blue silk gauze. The bodice is brocaded with gold thread in a stylised floral pattern, trimmed with blue and green brocaded and fringed ribbon on both bodice and cuffs. The three quarter length sleeves have four tiers of ruched tucks at the elbow. The bodice is fully lined in white glazed cotton with four boning strips and fourteen hooks and eyes for fastening centre front, intact. Handwritten in blue ink on an internal boning channel, "McDonald-Tyler", the donor. To go with 602871.1, matching skirt fragment.
