Summary
A woman's bodice made from tin weighted cream silk taffeta overlaid with white silk lace embroidered with white silk thread, and with plain white silk net sleeves. The bodice closes with hooks and eyes and is reinforced with a metal strip centre front and the neckline and bodice front and back are decorated with a deep embroidered white silk net frill. There is an integral modesty panel worked in gold thread centre front, with a matching gold thread panel centre back.The neckline is also trimmed with a continuous cream and gold coloured silk cord finished with four small passmenterie buttons, decorating both the front and back of the bodice.
