Summary
A woman's skirt, part of an evening dress, made from cream figured silk taffeta (faded from original pale grey). The skirt is made from four separate tiers of figured taffeta, each tier trimmed with cream silk fringed braid, and gathered onto a black silk waistband (not original). Each tier of the skirt is lined with stiffened cotton voile, with the lower half of the skirt and hem further stiffened with bands of woven straw which is stitched in between the voile lining and the skirt fabric, finished with a mauve wool braid. The skirt fastens with two hooks and eyes on the waistband, intact. To go with 602776.2, matching bodice.
