Summary
A woman's stocking from a pair of stockings, made from brown machine-knitted cotton lisle. The stocking is decorated with an ankle clock in a floral motif and is otherwise undecorated. A makers stamp on the outer face of the stocking cuff reads, "Smyth's Real Balbriggan" along with their trademark. A further makers stamp on the outer face of the stocking sole reads, "Smyth's Real Balbriggan. Made in Ireland", along with their trademark. Handwritten onto the stocking inner cuff the name "Brett", the donor.
