Summary
A woman's bodice, part of a dress, made from black silk satin. Black silk bodice with high collar, narrow sewn down pleats at front and back and outer sleeves. CF opening with double row of metal hooks and eyes. Front waistband of horizontally folded silk with three small gold decorative buckles. Jacket has been heavily altered; it has a cream silk panel attached to the front and another at the back. These are overlaid with black machine embroidered net. Stand collar is made from the same. The panels are roughly made and ill fitting. The front panel has a curious small pocket at lower proper left corner. Cuffs have black appliqué embroidered flowers.
