Summary
A woman's nightgown made from white cotton (Horrockses Longcloth). The long-sleeved gown is trimmed on the cuffs with feather stitch embroidery and a broderie anglaise frill, with matching trim on the shawl collar. The bodice is decorated with lines of vertical pintucks with broderie anglaise insertion and feather stitch, a double broderie frill on the placket and fastening centre front with three self-covered buttons, one missing. A maker's label stitched to the inside collar lining reads, "Horrockses Longcloth".
