Summary
A baby's christening cape made from cream cashmere. The cape is constructed with a collar, a short over-cape and a long under-cape, all decorated with cream chain stitch embroidery worked in silk thread in a stylised floral motif with applique cream silk satin. The cape is fully lined in cream cotton twill, with the cape edges lined with cream silk satin. It fastens centre front with four long cream silk satin ties, two missing.
