Summary
A woman's dress, possibly for nursing, made from cream cotton muslin. The dress is simply decorated with woven stripes in red and olive green throughout and is otherwise unembellished. The front of the bodice is unstitched to the bodice sides, designed to lift up possibly to feed an infant. The dress is partially lined on the yoke and sleeve-heads with cotton lawn, fastening with two hooks and eyes on the neckline and a further two on the waist centre back, intact.
