Summary

A woman's fan, made from white silk gauze and wood. The gauze fan leaf is hand-painted with flowers, leaves and butterflies in pink, green, white, pale blue, brown and grey and is otherwise undecorated. The fan guards, sticks and ribs are carved and gilded with a floral motif and the fan is secured at the base with a brass pivot and handle, intact.
