Summary
A woman's evening dress made from green, black and cream chiné silk taffeta. The dress is woven in a design of green roses and vines with black on a cream background, with the weaving method creating a characteristically blurred pattern. The bodice is decorated with pinked silk frills and embroidered silk net in a floral pattern on the bodice front, with matching trim on the capped sleeves. The skirt has no additional decoration. The bodice is fully lined in white glazed cotton, with eight boning strips and fastening with lacing centre back, original lace missing. The skirt is fully lined in cream cotton gauze.
