Summary
A woman's skirt, part of a dress, made from cream silk taffeta. The skirt is decorated with three tiers of pinked and gathered taffeta and taffeta bows, with a wide band of pleated taffeta on the front hem, otherwise undecorated. It is fully lined in cream cotton scrim and has two hooks & eyes on the waistband centre back for fastening, intact. A maker's label sewn onto the inner waistband reads, "J. Lindsay and Company, Belfast". A handwritten marking on an inner skirt seam in blue ink reads, "Loan. Mrs A Fenton", the donor.
