Summary
A scabbard for a sword (M/62a), with case (M/62c). The sword has a matt steel blade with mirror polished decoration, inscribed 'Joseph Starey Conduit St London W'. Gilded metal guard, royal cipher 'VR' with crown above, gold/red cord twined around hilt, gold lace tassle. The chape of the scabbard is engraved and gilded. Its top and middle mounts with rings are of engraved gilt metal. The sword case is of chamois leather. Perhaps en suite with THY/T/41a-i, Sir Edward Green's Deputy Lieutenant's uniform.
