Summary
Frank Green's dressing case of dark blue leather with gilt hinges and locks, mirror inside lid, drop-down front, rear section for bottles, front section of four hinged trays and two drawers all lined with blue velvet. Drop-down-front contains tortoiseshell hand mirror and a mirror with folding support, gilt monogram 'FG'. At the back are six compartments for six glass bottles with gilt screw-on tops in front, two hinged trays hold boxes of varying size, veneered with mother-of-pearl, gilt stag trippant on lids, boxes with various linings, some with loose trays. Below are two hinged trays; the lefthand holds ten polished steel tools - container for two syringe needles; nail clippers; nail scissors; tweezers; spoon; scissors; file; collapsible corkscrew; pin-on hook; screw-type hook. Righthand tray holds twelve items of steel, or steel and ivory - paper-knife with foldaway steel blade; screwdriver; penknife; pencil with square extending shaft marked in inches and centimetres; case for pencil leads; three colour pencil; case for coloured leads; bradawl; paring tool; file; punch; buttonhook. Monogram 'FG' in black on ivory. Righthand Drawer- five compartments holding - spirit level; badge inscribed 'York County Stand' 1927 No. 223'; buttonhole badge inscribed 'On War Service No. 20599, 1915'; commemorative medal, ribbon and pin inscribed 'King George V and Queen Mary, coronation of 22 June 1911'. Lefthand Drawer - a single compartment holding - a commemorative medal with ring through the top ' Edward VII and Alexandra, MCMII' Ten coins, Italia 20 lira 1918, five Swiss francs 1926, Italia 20 lira 1928, 1 dinara 1925, two groschen 1926, ten Swiss francs 1885, Italia 20c? 1920, five Swiss francs 1919, Italia 5 lira 1927, Italia 5 lira 1922. Three pieces of paper money- Ville du Havre 1 franc note 1915, Banque de France 5 franc note 1931 and 10 dinara note 1920.
