Summary
Print, The Adoration of the Lamb after Jan van Eyck (Maaseik c.1390 - Bruges 1441). The original is in Ghent Cathedral. The Lamb, representing Christ, is on a table or raised platform. There are crowds of people, possibly saints, in the right and left foreground. Some figures in white are kneeling. Between them is a fountain. Further back are two other groups. The one to the left is dressed mainly in blue clothes and that to the right appear to be angels. In the background are the towers of a city. In the centre of the background is the Sun. In storage.
