Across top of Oak slice: Large historical paper label - Written in black ink - From the Wragnine Oak, the last tree of the Inglewood Forest. It fell from age and decay on a beautiful calm morning the 13th of June 1823. The same day Bowman of Irthington died, he was the oldest man in Cumberland, aged 118 years.
