a stuffed bronze-winged pigeon or Grosland dove mounted on a plinth. Right eye has a glass eye, left eye is black and cloudy.

Provenance

Given with the property to The National Trust in 1941 by Sir Charles Philips Trevelyan, 3rd Bt. [1870 - 1958].

Marks and inscriptions

Label stuck on glass stand. : The Bronze-winged Pigeon, or Grosland (?) Dove. (Phaps chalcophera.) Australia.
