Summary
A large oak 'refectory' table, English, circa 1920. The rectangular five-plank cleated top raised on square section end supports with sleigh feet joined by a central stretcher. Bought by Mary Trevelyan with the first weeks salary earned by her husband Charles Philips Trevelyan, as Minister for Education in the first Labour Government under Ramsey Macdonald in 1924
