Marks and inscriptions
Drawing for the erection in the Conservatory Nov 1910. The idea taken by GOT from the Tomb of the Freedman of Pompey, Doroy's Rome Vol II page 390. Sketched by Caroline Trevelyan and finally designed by Messrs Farmer and Brindley. The verses are on the Pincian Hill towards the Piazza Di Popolo and the translation such as it is by GOT (comment written at the bottom)
