Summary
A collection of stained glass windows. The glazing of the Keep was provided by Lord Curzon from 1918, and was produced by H.R. Wright to the designs of Clayton and Bell. The National Trust has the original cartoons for the heraldic designs, displayed in the third floor of the Keep. The glass shows the armorial bearings of all the owners of Tattershall or the castle from the conquest (1066) to Lord Curzon’s acquisition in 1911. The glass is an important aspect of the attempt to give the Keep some sense of its medieval life and colour and to commemorate the former owners of the castle from the beginnings to the present
