Summary
Multi layered, boned bodice with full length sleeves and stand up collar. (i) boned bodice, lining cream silk twill. Sligthy boned, synthetic bones. Petersham waist strap with makers name. Dress shield both arms. Bodice lining continues down sleeves. (ii) Over layer is 3 layers of chiffon crepe, red/green/black outside giving a band at waist. Back opening (i) bodice is fastened with hooks and eyes. (ii) overlayer fastened with poopers. Stand up collar of heavy, metal thread machine lace, with synthetic stiffends and puce silk satin trim with cream silk chiffon lining. Cuffs of same lace, fastened with embroidered buttons and stitched loops. Heavy black silk, broad flat machine paired braid decoration, with tassels on front, back and sleeves. Has silk embroidered motif piece across centre front tassel, puce silk embriodery 4 crosses.
