Summary
Print, engraving, Interview of Charles I with his Children in the presence of Oliver Cromwell (after Samuel Woodforde) by William Sharp (London 1749 - Chiswick 1824), published 1821. An interior scene with a casement window. The King, Charles I, to right, is holding out his arms to his children, the youngest, later James II, is running up to him, whilst Prince Charles (later Charles II) and Mary are standing behind, the Queen, Henrietta Maria, in the left foreground, urging the Princess forward, with armed guards all around and Oliver Cromwell in the centre, watching.
