Summary

Sioux Indian war club. Stone club with leather-covered. handle. Pony hair attached. Accompanied by interesting note.

Full description

Accompanied by interesting note which reads 'Sioux, Indian war club or skull crusher, from Pine Ridge, Dak. Col. Wallace who gave this club to Dr Fry was killed in the last war with the Sioux 1890, by having his skull crushed in with a club like this. He was found with five chambers of his revolver empty and five dead Indians lying around him. Presented to Captain Shelton by Dr Fry, Indian trader, March 2nd 1891.
