Pastel on paper, Anne Maria MacGeough Bond, later Lady Louth (1844-1868) with her brother Captain Edward Staples MacGeough Bond (1842-1891) as children by Hugues Fourau (1803-1873). Signed and dated lower corner: 'H. Fourau, 1848'. Label on reverse: 'Lady Louth... MacG. Bond and Capt. Shelton'. 2 Children, left, blue frock, holds bird; right, lacy garment, holds dog. Brocade grey pillow. Oval frame. (Note: the label must be incorrect as Shelton was too old in comparison with Anne Maria and Edward who was only two years older than Anne would have been the only child missing from the record by Fourau of the MacGeough Bond's 6 children.
