Summary

Tailor's iron - Boat shaped profile, the handle has been cast or welded on to the base. The handle also features a barley twist effect. On loan from K.Reddaway.

Provenance

The loan letter details that a property directy opposite the Foundry did house a tailor in the 19th/20th century who used to bring his irons over to the foundry for heating on the hearths.
