Summary
Devon shove blade - This one piece sub-rectangular shovel type blade has the handle socket made out of the same piece of metal. The socket is set at approximately 45 degrees. The blade has a central ridge created by the manufacturing process. The shovel can be considered mult-functional and can be used for shovelling, skimming, for use in cutting through small roots and edging. Stamped with 'D. Davies 'Aberayron'' from a forge in West Wales this design was known as a lazy-back. Features in the Finch Bro's catalogue. (duplicate with 55650)
