Summary
Hollow box iron (size 7), perforated plate in the bottom of the iron's inside, this plate would hold hot coals and the perforations would allow the ash to fall to the bottom. The iron has a hinged lid to add coal and empty; it is also fitted with a moulded chimney to allow smoke to escape as well as a damper to control the temperature. The iron has some triangular lattice decoration to both sides and incised line decoration to the chimney section.
