Summary
Mahogany truncheon, cylindrical with turned gilt end and black rings either side end of gilt and painted coat of arms. Comprising of two lions, horse and rampant lion under crown surrounded by two sets of three lions, rampant lion and harp, all below crown, 'IV GR'. Gilt band then tapering section and reeded handle with turned end. Inscribed - Police truncheon 50/- George IV 1820-30 Police force in London 1829 (label) 1820 - 1830
