Summary
Brass microscope in a rectangular mahogany box. Microscope of cylindrical form with screw-in eyepiece with notched rims and larger cylindrical body with U-shaped cutaways and inverted trumpet lens, bottom section with square cutaway and circular hinged mirror with circular adjusting wheel, on circular base. Box contains brass tweezers, two glass slides, one glass slide with paper sleeve on which written 'Gore de cocon' and a circular container with a number of clear glass discs in a square paper box with a blue tartan pattern, and a rectangular piece of paper. Inscribed - Microscope £3, Microscope the hinges not the English box hinge? Soie de cocon on slide (note)
