Caption
This tiger skin is typical of many such ‘souvenirs’ of Empire service in India. The Van Ingen taxidermy factory in Mysore handled more than 20,000 tigers in 90 years, creating high quality work, with distinctive features in the styling of the face, mouth and eyes. The business finally closed in 1999.
