A mahogany cane seat chair, English, circa 1890. Labelled W. WALKER & SONS, CABINET MANUFACTURERS, 119 BUNHILL ROW, LONDON EC., with bar toprail and horizontal bar splat, on ring-turned tapering legs joined by multiple stretchers.

Full description

Walker & Sons were a London firm of cabinet-makers and furnishers, founded in 1848 and later opening a showroom in Bunhill Row, Shoreditch after decades of growth. They were well known for their suites of dining room and bedroom furniture.
