Engraved by William Byrne and Wilson Lowry from a drawing by Thomas Hearne and given to Richard Payne Knight esq. M.P. for Ludlow. Possibly given on loan to The National Trust circa 1980 and acquired by Michael Henry Glendower Page Croft, 2nd Baron Croft circa 1988.

Bottom centre: Inscribed: 'To Richard Payne Knight esq MP for Ludlow. This interior view of Ludlow Castle is inscribed by his most obedient servant William Byrne'.
