Summary
A burr walnut, ormolu-mounted and marble-topped stand, French, (of the French Empire period), circa 1810. Square stand with a grey marble top with brass grille edge. The marble sits above giltwood friezes featuring fruit and scrolls. The four scroll-topped legs are mounted with ormolu floral bosses, loops and brass handles. The legs are joined at the bottom by a flat square platform with brass insert featuring column design. On four square-section feet. A pyramid shaped glass top sits inside the brass grille. It has metal edges and the square base features two brass handles. One of a pair.
