Summary
Glass rectangular box covered in white silk ribbon at all edges. Each corner has a silk bow with a pearl to the centre (three now missing, some loose in box). Lined with quilted silk, stitched with diamond pattern and lined with silk ribbon with inlaid pearls. The box also contains; A small square note on white paper written in black ink ‘Caroline Lucy’s Bridal wreath – Mrs Paulett Lane Sept 2 1857. A small rectangular note on white paper ‘Christina Lucy’s Bridal Wreath, nosegay and Bridesmaid favour July 5th 1865 A button hole with white and blue silk flowers and green leaves. Silk ribbon in a bow, held together with metal wire covered in white ribbon (Possibly the favour or nosegay) A button hole with white and pink silk flowers, 7 green leaves and a silk ribbon in a bow. Metal wire forms leaves. Held together with metal wire covered in white ribbon (Possibly the favour or nosegay) A bridal wreath/headresses made from metal wire covered in brown ribbon. Made up of lots of white silk flowers and green silk leaves. Two trailing flowers that would hang at the back. Also contains loose flowers and pearls.
