Summary
White china ink well of three parts (main body, inner well and lid). The main body sits on three bronze coloured claw feet. Each leg is surmounted by three female figures. The body is decorated with red, blue and gold highlights and three masks. Floral ring to base. The inner well is removable, has a deep well, thick rim with a painted red band. The lid features a winged cherub leaning against a tree stump with something in his hand. His left foot is resting on a female head. Two male heads finish the design. The rim is also painted, red, gold and black. One of five different pieces of carved marble and china (533589.1-5).
