Full description
Taxidermy red deer head mounted on a carved wooden shield. Wooden shield has carved scroll like winged sections to each side. Long antlers with brow and bey tine to the front, a trey tine from the main beam and three crown tines on each side. Ear tips are folded.One of fourteen stuffed red deer heads.
Provenance
Presented to the National Trust by Sir Montgomerie Fairfax-Lucy (1896 – 1965), two years after the death of his father, Sir Henry Ramsay-Fairfax, 3rd Bt (1870 – 1944), with Charlecote Park and its chief contents, in 1946.
