Summary

A carved, circular hardwood display stand, probably Chinese for the export market, late 19th/early 20th century. With an open top and undulating frieze carved with scrolls. The legs are headed by lion masks and foliage, these terminate in scroll feet. The stand is currently used to display the bronze bowl (533216.1) possibly a later pairing.
