Sculpture, bronze, Warrior on Horseback. Bronze of a warrior with a spear on horseback. Rectangular hollow base with support in the shape of a female bust at the centre of the horse. Horse in rearing position, has a bridle and saddle. Warrior is wearing a tunic and helmet and is holding a spear in his right hand, in his left he is holding a hilt.
Presented to the National Trust by Sir Montgomerie Fairfax-Lucy (1896 – 1965), two years after the death of his father, Sir Henry Ramsay-Fairfax, 3rd Bt (1870 – 1944), with Charlecote Park and its chief contents, in 1946.
