Summary
A mahogany billiards table, English, late 19th century, by Burroughes & Watts of Soho Square, London. Of full, 12ft size, the bed lined with green baize and raised on eight turned mahogany legs of fluted 'tulip' form. -- The original billards table at Charlecote was by Thurston & Co. and made from the timber of the Royal George. It was sold to a Boys' Club in Leamington in the 1940s. This table is a replacement.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust in July 2000.
