Summary
Fountains Abbey. The Interior of the Refectory. One of a series of etchings by J. Archer after prints by J.W. Carmichael. Published by R. Metcalfe, Ripon and J. W. Carmichael, Newcastle, 1832. A view of the interior of the Refectory with Huby's Tower visible in the centre, background. Two figures are viewing from the upper floor to the left and three figures are viewing the room from the ground floor, left. One figure stands in the doorway with another immediately left of the door, within the room. A small dog is centre, foreground. Wall tops are extensively wooded with a large tree within the room, to the right.
