Summary
A mahogany cheval fire screen, with rectangular oak tapestry frame and cresting to the top. On cabriole supports joined by a turned stretcher. The frame supporting a tent stitched tapestry in Berlin wool. Tapestry depicting two doves drinking from a blue and pink pedestal flower vase on an olive background. Vase and doves surrounded by foliage and roses, and to the lower left, lilies of the valley, to centre left, wallflowers and bottom right, a blue auricular. Fading pattern suggests that the tapestry was once in a smaller frame.
