Summary
Painted 54mm model figure by Hussar Military Miniatures, possibly representing a member of the Iroquois Confederacy, c.1990. Part of a series of figures representing combatants in the Seven Years' War. A plaque on the base describes the figure as a ‘Woods Indian’. This is the manufacturer’s title, which is repeated here in the interests of research and historical data. It is not a historically accurate term. It may refer to the Indigenous peoples of the North-eastern Woodlands, a grouping which includes the Iroquois Confederacy, who allied themselves with the British in the conflict.
