Summary
Pair of silver gilt oil and vinegar frames formed as boats supported by double dolphins on oval bases, hulls with a row of cannon and demi-horses at each end. 2 pierced bottle frames chased with band of foliage, reeded column handles tied with ribbons surmounted by helmets, engraved with coat-or-arms, 2 cut-glass bottles, pierced silver neck mounts, fluted and ribboned cone cork stoppers. Empire - Paris c.1810.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
