Summary
Set of 20 illustrations for Gray's Elegy' illustrated by Frank Adams (1871-1944). Series of mounted prints from the 1920's, contained in a folio box, gold embossed 'Gray's Elegy', by Frank Adams, with Fairhaven crest 1958. Frontispiece 'Elegy written in a Country Churchyard by Thomas Gray', decorated by Frank Adams, London, The Medici Society, New York, William Farquhar Payson. Oval print of a graveyard in centre. Some of prints are monochrome, some are in colour. Some have verse on undermount. Some initialled 'F.A.' bottom right, some signed 'Frank Adams'. Detailed borders at top of mount. Some previously framed. Stanza numbers with inscriptions on back.

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
