Summary
Print, uncoloured, Windsor Castle from the Black Rod, Berkshire by Paul Sandby, RA (Nottingham 1725 – London 1809). Published by T. Palfer 1812, from an original watercolour by Paul Sandby D/81. Mounted on paper, same mount as PR/7.5. A coloured print is AA/PR/7.5. Pencil note on inside of mount 'The original picture (work drawing) is in my sitting room at Park Close 1925'.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
